Make your Spring Break Spring Breeeezy with the below tips and guidelines on what to expect for your visit to Echo Mountain! Some choose white sand, while others choose white snow. We think you’ve made a great choice and want to welcome you to have the best Spring Break yet!

COVID-19 aka Coronavirus

To kick things off, if you have questions about our take on COVID-19, check our recent blog post here. We'll post updates to this same post as things move forward so be sure to check back regularly as your visit approaches.

Long story short, we're taking some extra precautions, but we are open and operating as normal! Spring Skiing, Snowboarding and Tubing has been a blast and we don't want it to end!

ADVANCED RESERVATIONS

Skiing and snowboarding: Recommended! Buying tickets online will save you a couple minutes at the Front Desk, but more importantly, it'll save you a few bucks! Book online, in advance for the best pricing. Just note, Rentals are first come, first serve. Plan ahead to arrive early in the day or later in the evening if you're planning on renting equipment and/or clothing from us.

Tubing: Required. Make sure to check our website for availability. We do sell out- even if it looks like there's a lot of open spots on the day you're planning to visit, book in advance to ensure you have the optimal time that works out with your schedule. Check our website for all the details on what to expect, rules, policies and everything else.

TRANSPORTATION

Our parking lots can reach capacity on busy days. We always recommend carpooling, either with your own vehicle or a rental. If you're renting a vehicle, make sure you know what you're getting. Definitely DO NOT get a Rear-Wheel Drive (RWD) vehicle like a Camaro or a Charger. Always choose the 4WD or AWD if available and demand it if snow is in the forecast. Trust us, it's the law and no one's budgeting for a ticket or an accident.

If you are looking for shuttles, check out our Getting Here page for details on shuttles we're offering every Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Our friends at Ride Experiences know the roads and Echo well!

Rideshares like Uber or Lyft are super convenient when getting dropped off BUT if this is an option you're considering, make sure you arrange a ride home before you arrive at Echo. Uber and Lyft both offer scheduling rides days in advance because if you don't, they may leave you on Read for HOURS.

LIFT TICKETS

Buy online through our Ski + Snowboard Lift Tickets page to get the best price, save a few bucks and a couple minutes off your chat with our team at the Front Desk, but make sure you read through the website to know what all you're buying before you finalize that purchase.

RENTALS

As mentioned above, rentals are first come, first serve. Renting on-site is definitely the easiest way to get the gear you need.. assuming it's available! On busy days, it is possible that we may run out of some clothing or gear. Plan to arrive early in the morning or later in the evening for your best bet on availability.

The process is also very personalized and can take time, especially if you've never worn ski or snowboard boots and equipment. If you want to skip the wait and just get your ticket to hit the mountain, check out our friends at Boone Mountain Sports or rent somewhere in town before heading up.

TERRAIN + CONDITIONS

Echo's terrain is mostly intermediate. There are some beginner and some expert trails, but most of our terrain is somewhere in the middle. Skiing and snowboarding are very difficult. Most of our terrain is considered more advanced... meaning, it takes practice! No chairlift ride is worth an ambulance ride. Don't ruin your break with a trip to the hospital.

Come in with the right expectations and bring the right attitude, and you'll have a great time!

We groom every morning, but be sure to check nearby weather stations for forecasts to know what to expect for the day of your visit.

LEARNING TO SKI OR BOARD?

We don't offer traditional lessons, but we all need a little help from time to time. Come meet our Echo Mountain Ambassadors. Find them out in the beginner area ready to give pointers, tips, and suggestions on how to get you moving towards the next level. It’s not a replacement for a lesson, but they are here and ready to help.

GOOD EATS AT BROTHERS’ GRILLE

This is not ski area cafeteria food. We're pretty proud of our food and drinks, but keep in mind everything is made to order. During your spring break, lines can be a bit longer than usual, but have no fear, our team will be hustling to get you your order as quickly and deliciously as possible!

You are always welcome to bring some snacks, but keep the microwaves and crock pots at home. Absolutely no outside alcohol is allowed. We have you covered!

DRINKING AND SMOKING

As we mentioned, no outside alcohol. We have a great selection of beers on tap and a variety of drinks to help you celebrate your day on the mountain.

As a courtesy to all our guests, please smoke your vapes and cigarettes only in the parking lot. Though it's "legal" in Colorado, we follow Uncle Sam's lead and do not allow the smoking of recreational and medical marijuana on property.
